Peter Robinson started work for his father in 1966, learning all aspects of the business before becoming a partner in 1970. In 1978 Peter’s father died, leaving him to carry on the business. Peter gradually expanded operations over the years. These days Peter, a life member of the NZ New Master Monumental Masons Association, takes a backseat to the main business operations, but enjoys being involved on a regular basis, “helping the boys out” and undertaking his real passion, hand inscriptions.

Teresa Devanney and her partner Gary Taylor purchased Robinson memorials in 2015. Teresa deals with the day to day management of the business and has spent some time organising and implementing new technologies to make the customer experience smoother and more efficient. Teresa believes there is no limit to what can be created in everlasting granite, as she says ‘if you can imagine it we can make it’. Attention to detail and making the whole process seamless and at the same time keeping that personal touch are Teresa’s goals. For Teresa seeing the obvious happiness on the faces of Robinsons’ clients when they first see their memorial makes it all worthwhile.
